Still working on those exposed beams and joists.
Outside, our coeur de boeuf tomatoes were ripe and ready.
However, inside our Tour, it’s still this:
We finally decided how we’ll treat our exposed ceiling beams. For the bedrooms we’ll be drywalling over the joists to provide for extra insulation, but on the main floor we’ll leave the joists apparent and plaster in between the spaces. The prep work is really time-consuming. Hundreds of nails to be taken out and each main support beam is being scrubbed with a metal brush to best expose the natural grain of the wood. So. Long.
