WOOD ON WALLS

Favorite examples of reclaimed wood walls.

Although we want as much exposed stone as possible in our Tour, it would be nice to break it up a bit with some reclaimed wood. It would add a bit of warmth to the interior and help to hide the electrical wiring. And I just love the look of raw, distressed reclaimed wood. What do you think? Horizontal or vertical? These images are as unique and beautiful as the wood they used.

Our country farmhouse has a lot of early 20th century tongue in groove beadboard, just like in the first photo. Perhaps too much, it was used on walls and ceiling (!), plus the floor was also similar tongue in groove hardwood. Thanks for the wonderful collection of inspiring ideas for re-using it, while letting it be as it is.
